Animal Voices (Tierstimmen)
Connection Through Sound
The exhibition “Animal Voices: Connection Through Sound” at the Museum Sinclair Haus explores how humans can connect with other species—and what happens when we begin to truly listen. Sound is understood here as a unifying element between humans and animals, as a means of establishing contact, interacting, and resonating. We designed an accompanying publication for the exhibition.

The exhibition, curated by Jessica Ullrich and Martin Ullrich, explores calls, songs, and sounds that fascinate, move us, and pose mysteries. They tell stories of navigation and foraging, of love and danger, of play and community.
The publication’s design draws on the concepts of resonance and rhythm: vibrant colors and musical notation run throughout the publication and engage in a dialogue with the featured works, essays, poems, and texts.
With works by Ars Electronica Futurelab (Peter Holzkorn, Nicolas Naveau, Anna Weiss), Marek Brandt, Michelle Cheng, Catherine Clover, CMUK, Marcus Coates, Emily Doolittle, Fevered Sleep, Ariel Guzik, Alice Q.
