FilmPOLSKA 2026

FilmPOLSKA 2026

filmPOLSKA, the largest Polish film festival in Germany, took place in Berlin and Potsdam in September 2026. For the 21st edition of the Polish film festival, we developed a visual identity for print and digital media.

The brick, as a central element, references Andrzej Wajda’s film Man of Marble and symbolizes community, reconstruction, and collective action.

Wajda’s film “Man of Marble” is considered one of Poland’s most significant films critical of the regime—which is why it was overlooked by the jury at the 1977 Gdańsk Film Festival. The journalists in attendance banded together and presented Wajda with a “consolation prize”: a real brick bearing their signatures.
Wajda described the Brick as the most important award of his career. It became a symbol of the solidarity between the arts and the free press in their shared resistance.
